    As we prepare to welcome your child in the fall, here are some resources to help with an important area for your child's overall success in school - making friends. 
     
    Here are some resources that can help:

     As we prepare to welcome your child in the fall, here are some resources to help with two areas that are important to build foundational language skills as well as classroom independence.
     
    1. Helping your child verbalize full sentences is one way that you help to build their language skills. Here is a link to some sentence starters.
     
    2. Practicing classroom routines, like putting on a backpack and putting on/taking off jackets are great activities to help your child gain independence. Here is a video that gives tips on zippers. Here is a video on buttoning/unbuttoning.
